In many ancient cultures, sexual pleasure is closely connected to nature. Näkki - Spellbound allows us a mythical inside into Finnish pagan culture in relation to female sexuality. Luna Kuu and Lynx Ymir invite us into the almost forgotten world of Näkki - a shapeshifting water spirit whose presence follows them through a moonlight fertility ritual and an intimate shibari bondage experience.
Luna Kuu returns to XConfessions as a director and performer! Her second movie is a mystical showcase of Finnish nature and spirituality, combined with a sensual shibari bondage scene and an ancient fertility ritual. I love Luna's take on female sexuality through Finnish mythology. I think tapping into our own heritage and cultural background is a beautiful way of reconnecting with ourselves.
