About XConfessions

I started this project in the summer of 2013. Initially it was an online space for people to share their sexual confessions, but over the years it has grown into a global community of people who adore sex and film, and have always hoped for a new kind of erotica. Now the site is home to filmmakers, performers, artists, and you; the most important part, the people behind the confessions.

The idea is simple but powerful. We shoot explicit short films based on the best anonymous confessions we receive. If your confession is chosen, you are rewarded with a one year access pass to the site and you get to see your story on film.

Together we are changing the rules of pornography. We don't just show what sex looks like, we tell stories about what sex and desire feel like, and how we communicate and interact intimately with each other. Each film is visually arresting and goes beyond traditional gender roles and tired stereotypes, pushing the boundaries of fetish, lust, desire and intimacy.

XConfessions hosts an ever-growing catalogue of films, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and written and illustrated confessions.

About Erika

Erika Lust is an acclaimed filmmaker who creates artistic, indie adult cinema that portrays sexually intelligent narratives, relatable characters, and realistic hot sex.

In 2004 Erika made her first film The Good Girl, an alternative take on the 'pizza delivery guy' cliché. Within two weeks it had received over two million downloads, prompting Erika to realise that making an alternative, better porn to the mainstream offering was her calling.

Since then Erika has directed hundreds of short films, feature films, series, and has travelled the world spreading the Lust message. In 2014, Erika gave her essential TED talk It’s Time for Porn to Change, which gained her notoriety for her campaign to improve porn. She defends the importance of having women behind the camera in all key positions to capture the female gaze and show that women’s pleasure matters.

Erika's revolutionary cinema reflects her views on sex as a healthy, natural part of life worth celebrating whilst placing female pleasure at the center. Her relatable female characters are sex-positive, powerful and progressive.
