Popo Fan

Born in China and now based in Berlin, Popo Fan makes films of significantly different styles. His activist documentaries featuring queer families have made a notable impact in Chinese society, he shot the first feminism porn film in mainland China, and is continuing his sex-positive career. Despite the varied formats and content of his projects, Popo believes that film should remain a space of free expression, and porn is the future of this philosophy! His artistic practice to achieve this also includes writing and film curating.
