Julia Ritschel

Julz is a non-binary film director based in Hamburg Germany. Their lesbian short film "La Cigale et la Fourmi" has been screened successfully at numerous LGBTIQ* film festivals and was an official selection at the renowned Palm Springs Short Fest. Julz holds a Master’s degree in film from the Hamburg Media school and currently works on their fictional debut feature film SANDWORMS. They are known for individual visual aspects to tell a story that often circles around themes of queer forbidden love. Orlandos marks Julz first collaboration with Erika Lust Films.
