Work porn

I had to take over the work of a female colleague who left the department and was not able to finish it before. Usually, there is no fun in finishing someone elses work. Especially for me, because I tend to have high standards for my work. Some would say I’m a perfectionist. Furthermore, I do not talk about an easy to solve task here. It was clear from the beginning: this project is gonna be hard work. I had no choice, though. So I started to dig in and made myself familiar with the project.

I did not expect what I would find. I found an incredible good design with important details. You could clearly see the handwriting of a very intelligent and skillfull woman. Whenever I thought „but she probably has not thought about that“, I found out she did! The more familiar I became with the project the more thoughtfulness I found. It was fun to continue the work. I was impressed, enlightened…aroused.

The intelligence and skills of this woman turned me on so much. I could not concentrate anymore and I even had to take a break to please myself (in home office).

Well, I did not expect so much joy in work. I guess, she does not expect the effect of her work on me either.
