Ana Paula Teixeira is a filmmaker and photographer from the US and Puerto Rico. Their work captures the surroundings of Puerto Rico’s underrepresented beauty, the diverse members of the LGBTTQ+ community, and the resistance against colonial social standards. Over the last five years they have worked with the LGBTTQ+ community of the island through short films and photography by adapting their experiences on camera. Their work has been published alongside galleries and magazines (Paper Mag, Subvrt, Curated By Girls, etc.), and they intend to continue contributing to the representation of BIQPOC. Ana has recently graduated from the University of Sacred Heart with a bachelors in Digital Film Production.
